Hand-building Workshop FAQ

Please go through the process of creating a ceramic piece here. You are going to do steps 1 to 4. We are going to do steps 5-6 for you. You can pay us additional to get it glazed (step 8 ). painting is not included in glazing (step 7 is not included).

Please go through the process of creating a ceramic piece here. As process is long and requires many more steps ,like drying, bisque fire, glazing and glaze fire, after you creating your piece. It takes almost a month. We contact you once your piece is ready. you can pick it from us or venue it is organised on. You can also book a delivery service like Dunzo, Swiggy Genie , Porter etc by yourself if you cant come to collect and we can hand it over to them.

• There will be additional charges of Rs 300 If you just want to get additional pieces just bisque fired.
• For Bisque fire+ glazing, there will be an additional charge of Rs.600

if you don’t know about glazing or process of creating a ceramic piece, read this.

we charge Rs 600 for a cup or standard-size piece. The charge includes Glazing(you can choose the glaze type from the options we provide) and Glaze fire. This doesn’t include any sort of painting done by us.

Please note that bisque fire for up to 2 pieces is included in your workshop price and you don’t have to pay extra.

As some people come to the workshop only to learn and don’t want a fully functional piece at the end to take home that’s why we don’t include glazing expense in the booking amount.

The participant(s) who wants their piece to be glazed by us can get it done by paying extra.

• No, This workshop is all about experience and learning. We expect you to not have high expectations about a tangible outcome. Whatever you made can have a crack( depending on how you made it) and there will be no refund for its breakage during firing.
• If you opted for glazing, it will only include glazing and not the painting. You can choose the glaze colour you want from the options we provide.
• One more thing we would like you to understand is that glazes are chemicals which react at high temperatures during firing to form a certain colour and finish and can be unpredictable. If you want consistent results, we recommend you go for the clear glaze.

• As firing goes to 1200C, we can’t predict how things would go for some time. If your piece breaks or get damaged during firing, there will be no refund.
• We try our level best to make sure you get the best outcome but sometimes damage and breakage can happen due to reasons outside of our control, but as material and efforts are already spent on the piece there is no refund.

hand-building workshop takes 3 hours. It can take more hours depending on you/your peers or any other unforeseeable circumstances. We recommend having some buffer after the workshop.

• Workshop and All Material required for the workshop to make upto 2 pieces of ceramics
• Bisque Fire / First Fire of up to 2 pieces which will make it semi-functional

Yes, though we rarely have a spot open on the workshop day. We get fully booked days before the workshop. So it is always recommended to book as soon as possible. If we are booked, we’ll be able to give you information about the next workshop and you can join that.

As we have bills to pay and pottery supplies are very expensive, we do not offer any discounts.
